Dr. Nepa and Dr. Vora are Board Certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.
We have over a decade of experience in treating patients in crises, depression, bipolar disorder, ADHD / ADD, generalized anxiety, social anxiety, panic disorder, OCD, PTSD, Borderline Personality Disorder, Insomnia, and Substance Abuse. At present they are credentialed with Aetna insurance and also accept private pay.
Dr. Justin Nepa DO

I'm Dr. Justin Nepa, a board-certified psychiatrist located in Davie / Fort Lauderdale Area, specializing in a combination of medication management and Dialectical Behavioral Therapy based psycho-therapeutic approaches for adults and adolescents suffering from mental health ailments.
I take a holistic approach to psychiatric treatment, recognizing the many factors that contribute to symptoms. I take the time with each client to discuss their goals and unique strengths and challenges. I believe that the practice of Psychiatry should go beyond just the relief of symptoms and should include approaches that help each client reach their full potential. I also have experience with helping patient get off of medications that they have been experiencing unwanted side effects.
Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee and graduated University of Tennessee - Knoxville with a degrees in Psychology and Biochemistry & Molecular Biology. I went to medical school at Lincoln Memorial University - DeBusk College of Osteopathic Medicine and then completed psychiatry residency training at University Hospital and Medical Center in Tarmac, Florida. I work currently as teaching faculty with Palm Beach Consortium Graduate Medical Education and help with supervision of psychiatric residents and service as medical director of Refresh Psychiatry and Therapy.

Dr. Christy Vadakkan DO
Hey there, my name is Dr. Christy Vadakkan. I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Miami (“Go Canes”) and medical school at Nova Southeastern University, Psychiatry residency training at Palm Beach Consortium of Graduate Medical Education and have worked with a wide variety of patients with depression, anxiety, and ADHD. The hands-on care, education, and service needed behind treating the emotional, physical, and mental states of my patients have fueled my passion for psychiatry.
Through an encompassing holistic approach, I have the qualities needed to be a versatile, efficient care provider, compassionate doctor, and advocate for my patients. Some of my interests outside of medicine include being a foodie, and an avid NBA and BravoTV fan.
Dr. Andrew chu DO
I'm Dr. Andrew Chu. I am a native Floridian and a University of Florida Gator Grad. Prior to medical school, I studied psychology and sociology, was a certified emergency medical technician, and worked as a social worker in Miami. I obtained my medical degree at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine in Bradenton, FL. As chief resident physician of psychiatry at University Hospital and Medical Center, I enjoy supervising and teaching other resident physicians and medical students on complex medical and psychiatric cases.
I have first-hand experience working with mental health primarily within in-patient treatment centers. I believe in an integrative, dynamic, and holistic therapeutic approach. I utilize a variety of techniques and skills drawn from therapeutic modalities such as Person-Centered, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, and psychoeducation. Adrienne Apple, MS

I completed my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Lynn University and earned my Bachelor’s in Communication Studies and Global Health from Rollins College.
I have first-hand experience working with co-occurring psychiatric and substance abuse disorders primarily within in-patient treatment centers. I believe in an integrative, dynamic, and holistic therapeutic approach. My name is Juliana Sanint and I received my Bachelor’s and Master’s degree of Psychology from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogotá, Colombia. I am experienced in working with patients of all ages who come from different backgrounds and present diverse needs. I am bilingual and fluent in English and Spanish.
A mental health coach is a type of wellness professional who helps people make progress in their lives in order to attain greater fulfillment. Mental health coaches help their clients in improving their interpersonal relationships, careers, day-to-day lives and overall well being.
I am compassionate, empathic and committed to helping my clients identify their particular needs, set goals and develop the skills needed to reach them. I have excellent listening and critical thinking skills which allow me to connect to the people provide a new perspective on the different challenges they face in their life.
Carla Eliza Amarillo
Administrative Assistance / Insurance Director
Carla assists Refresh Psychiatry with helping patients with all virtual needs. She assists with scheduling and helping patients make sense of their insurance benefits before the appointment so everyone is on the same page. Carla collaborates with office provider allowing for quick communication and response to your needs.
Carla joined Refresh Psychiatry in 2020, helping with insurance benefits and verification. She quickly showed her merit by taking on additional tasks. Carla manages and supports her team with hands on approach to ensure all clients have a solid understanding of their insurance plans; assist with billing issues.
Before joining Refresh Psychiatry, Carla, in her younger days, worked for a large food chains including Yellow Cab Pizza and in time found her way into the insurance world, working for many years in the Humana Contact Center as a Claims Specialist.
When not immersed in the world of insurance payers, Carla can be found singing her heart out in karaoke, playing her guitar, and enjoying time with her son.
Abby worked as a Technical Support Representative before being introduced to the medical field. She has quickly shown her enjoyment in the insurance world after years of experience with benefits verification and billing. She joined Refresh Psychiatry and Therapy to welcome, register, and make appointments for patients determining their needs. During time off, she enjoys traveling to the beach, watching Korean dramas on Netflix and eating in Korean restaurants together with her family.
