Erica Sanes is a Registered Mental Health Counseling Intern and Acupuncture Physician. Erica received her Master of Education with a specialization degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling and her Bachelors in Psychology from Florida Atlantic University. Erica received her Master of Traditional Chinese Medicine from Atlantic Institute of Oriental Medicine.
Erica’s therapeutic approach focuses on resolving emotional traumas that are physically manifested through blockages in the human body. In her work, she applies ancient techniques including reiki, sound and color light healing, and traditional chinese medicine, with evidence based practices, such as Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT), Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), Neuro Emotional Technique (NET), and somatic body practices to optimize the functioning body and mind. Erica obtained her DBT Certification through The Linehan Institute/Behavioral Tech and her EMDR Certificate through Insight Counseling, an EMDRIA Approved provider.
Her passion is to connect people with themselves at a deeper level, with others more authentically and with the world wholeheartedly. Erica’s approach is based in soul-centered somatic practices, harnessing the power of breathwork, body-awareness, and intuition. Erica brings a unique perspective and an intuitive holistic approach to facilitate physical, emotional, mental, and energetic well being. In working with Erica, one can expect to take an active and collaborative role in their therapeutic experience and healing. Erica's areas of specialization include Somatic Practices, Mindfulness Practices, EMDR, DBT, NET, Attachment Theory, Experiential Therapy, and Spiritually-Informed Approaches.
