Dr. Davis earned an M.S. (Clinical Mental Health Counseling) from Barry University in Miami Shores, FL. Later on, she received her Psy.D. (Clinical Psychology, Health Psychology Track) from Carlos Albizu University, Miami Campus, where her dissertation explored the effects of virtual reality exposure therapy and other PTSD treatments on cortisol levels among combat veterans. As part of her doctoral program, she completed a pre-doctoral internship at the National Psychology Training Consortium – Great Lakes Region, Indiana (Integrated healthcare program). Following completion of doctoral requirements, Dr. Davis completed a residency at a private practice in Boca Raton, MorMindful Therapy & Psychiatry specializing in individual and family therapy with adolescents and adults, as well as working with patients with substance use issues. Her interests include psychotherapy; sleep hygiene, chronic pain and behavioral weight management. As well as, anxiety, depression, interpersonal and relationship issues, and substance use disorders.
